CHRISTMAS MAGIC IS IN THE AIR

Rattenberger Advent

Advent magic in Rattenberg

The medieval town of Rattenberg in Tyrol is worth a visit at any time of year. The time in the run-up to Christmas is a truly special time, certainly not to be missed. Advent marks the beginning of a special, contemplative and peaceful time in Rattenberg.

The glow of candles, torches and open fires bathe the town in a warm light of anticipation for the most contemplative time of the year. Enjoy regional Christmas delicacies and the traditional Rattenberg Advent wine while listening to Weisenbläser (traditional group of brass instrument players) and watching the Anklöpfler (groups enacting the Nativity play).

Advent in Tirol

The most beautiful Advent markets in Tirol, including the Rattenberg Advent, have joined forces under the umbrella brand "Advent in Tirol" to make the pre-Christmas period in Tyrol particularly atmospheric.

In order to be part of "Advent in Tirol", strict quality criteria must be met with regard to the external appearance and the programme.

The programme focuses on Tyrolean traditions and customs. The markets create encounters between people from near and far in a typical Tyrolean way.
