Stadtberg Chapel
Unfortunately, the original origin of the chapel has not been handed down.
Legend has it that court clerk Johann Wieser donated the Mother of God altarpiece for the chapel, which his daughter Helena had painted based on a similar picture from Breitenbach am Inn.
During the Bavarian-French War at the end of the 18th century, the chapel was destroyed and rebuilt on another site near the original one. In 1809, the chapel was again devastated by Royal Bavarian troops, but could be rebuilt thanks to the donations of several benefactors. Today, Mary - Mother of God is still venerated in the chapel. Among other things, novenas are held regularly at the chaopel. Stations of the Cross on trees along the way serve the faithful in their devotions.
