History/Stories Day at the Museum of Tyrolean Farmhouses

Performers in historical costume will recite Alpine legends accompanied by historical live music.
In the rustic and beautiful setting of the old farmhouses, storytellers recite exciting, funny and sometimes scary tales from North and South Tyrol. Their stories are accompanied by old folk tunes and simple melodies from the 16th and 17th centuries.
Performers (including groups from Austria and Bavaria) in historical garb will bring the old farms to life. Farmers, maids and lumberjacks will be represented as well as travelling merchants, soldiers and charlatans. In short, visitors will be a treated to impressions of everyday life in a Tyrolean village. Villages representing three centuries will be played:
- 1477 – Emperor Max and his Tyrol
- 1623 – Thirty years of war
- 1809 – The Bavarians in Tyrol
