Passionskonzert des Polizeiorchesters Bayern

All proceeds from the charity concert entitled "The Passion of the Christ" will go to benevolent causes supported by the Rotary Club Rattenberg. 

On Monday 14th April at 7:00 p.m. the Rotary Club Rattenberg invites you to an Easter concert given by the Bavarian Police Orchestra in the church in Reith im Alpbachtal. All proceeds will go to benevolent causes supported by the Rotary Club Rattenberg.

The concert for a good cause in Reith will open with the suite from Leonard Bernstein's music theatre work Mass. Michael Sweeney's arrangement features a brass quintet consisting of trumpets, horn, trombone and tuba as soloists. This is followed by the largo from Antonin Dvořák's Ninth Symphony "From the New World". The world-famous sounds of the English horn solo enchant with their intimate and warm, but also melancholic tones. As the highlight of the evening, Ferrer Ferran's symphony La Passió de Crist awaits the audience. The three-movement work by the Spanish composer brings the life and suffering of Jesus Christ into the church in a subtle but also very sonorous way. The musical arc spans from the tender supplication to the hour of Jesus' death and ends in the great resurrection scene. A deeply moving sound experience, also visually supported with images, which prepares the audience for the Easter season.
