A mysterious fungal infestation is wiping out all cotton plantations worldwide and sheep's wool is becoming a highly sought-after raw material. A kilo of sheep's wool has long been valued in gold on the stock exchanges. Astute Tyrolean farmers foresaw this development and have massively promoted sheep farming in recent years. The sheep's wool business is almost taking over from tourism - as more and more brutal sheep killings terrify Tyrol and jeopardise the business. The particularly frightening thing: According to DNA analyses, it is always one and the same wolf that strikes. The wolf covers daily distances that amaze even die-hard wolf experts. The fear of this monster wolf is great - the only thing greater is the anger at the inaction of those responsible. The sheep farmers begin to organise themselves, torchlight marches take place. The monster wolf is to be killed. Those in power are in a dilemma - and take what they see as the safest route: in order to remain legally unassailable, neither a culling ordinance nor a culling notice is issued. No: a competition is supposed to do the trick. The Tyrolean municipality that delivers the wolf to the Tyrolean Landhausplatz after the next full moon (dead or not alive) will receive 25 million euros to spend at their discretion. This announcement makes waves and hits the municipality of Lammsdorf like a bomb: there is still a week to go until the next full moon. You want to try, you have to try: The swimming pool, which is in dire need of renovation, had to be closed years ago due to the municipality's tight finances, woodworm is rampaging through the roof of the bandstand, the kindergarden is bursting at the seams and the outdated ski lift will probably no longer be granted a licence. So 25 million euros would be just the thing..............
