As part of their anniversary tour, the best monks, masters and shamis from China's monasteries present the high art of Kung Fu, Qi Gong and Zen! The show takes you into the mysterious world of the Shaolin monks and Zen Buddhism. It tells the story of the temple, shows the training of the monks in impressive pictures, filmed on the holy mountain Song Shan and at the original temple, and follows in the footsteps of the Zen founder Boddhidharma. 19 of the best masters and shamis (disciples), led by their 75-year-old old master, present their incredible skills beyond the limits of physics in a two-hour show. Mastering their qi (body energy) through breathing and training, they smash stone slabs, wooden slats and iron bars on their bodies and heads, lie on spears, swords and nail boards, point spearheads at their throats and even throw a sewing needle through a pane of glass. The show is not a circus performance, the monks are not actors, the exercises are not tricks; the show is a respectful attempt to explain a one-and-a-half-thousand-year-old tradition of mysterious knowledge to people outside China. Viewers can share in and benefit from the millennia-old wisdom of the monks. The interactive participation of the audience guarantees visitors a completely new feeling for the mysterious world of the Chinese monks and their mystical powers.
