"Neurosige Zeiten" - „crazy“ comedy in three acts by Winnie Abel
Plot:
How do you receive visitors in an asylum for the insane without them realising that they are in a madhouse? This is the challenge facing Agnes Adolon, the daughter of a wealthy hotel dynasty. Her mother spontaneously announces a visitor - only she assumes that Agnes lives in a villa and not in an asylum.
Without further ado, flatmates from Agnes' quirky psychiatric residential group are now asked to try and look like normal people and the crazy game of mistaken identity takes its course: the compulsively neurotic Hans has to play the long-term partner, the delusional Marianne is passed off as the housekeeper, the manic-depressive artist Desirèe is declared the friend of the house and the shy Willi is supposed to play the normal caretaker - an endeavour that is bound to backfire.
But once more and more uninvited visitors turn up, Agnes' mother takes the psychiatrist into custody and ends up in a straitjacket herself, the crazy game of mistaken identity gets completely out of hand.
Who is actually crazy? And what does normal even mean?
