From 9th - 16th August 2024, the WIR31 Summer Nights Open Air Cinema will take place at seven unusual locations. The towns of Alpbach, Brixlegg, Brandenberg, Münster, Kramsach, Reith i. A., Radfeld and the town of Rattenberg become the impressive backdrop for the annual open-air cinema under the stars. The screenings start at 9:00 p.m. each night (except in Radfeld and Reith i.A. at 8:15 pm).

Plot:

Oppenheimer, History, from 12 years, 3 hrs 1 min.

In a hearing, Julius Robert Oppenheimer (Cillian Murphy) looks back on his beginnings, his private life and the time when he was put in charge of the Manhattan Project during the Second World War. At the Los Alamos National Laboratory, under the supervision of Lt. Leslie Groves (Matt Damon) to develop a nuclear weapon. He becomes the "father of the atomic bomb", but after his invention is used in Hiroshima and Nagasaki he is plunged into doubt. In another hearing, Lewis Strauss (Robert Downey Jr.) is to be confirmed in President Dwight D. Eisenhower's cabinet. be confirmed.
