MTB-Route 351 Schatzberg Loop
In terms of fitness, demanding tour leading past beautiful mountain peaks
Take the MTB-route 308 Thaleralm-Sieglbichlalm from Alpbach village centre to the Krinjoch. The route joins up with the MTB route 351 Schatzberg loop directly below the Schatzberg peak. Length of trip: 1,5 h
Continue uphill to the right along the forest track. Cycle past the Schatzbergalm mountain inn (food and drinks available). Continue to the Gipfö Hit (mountain hutz offereing food and beverages) and downhill to the Gernalm. The forest trail via the Grasingalm leads down past the Talsalm on to the Aschbachweg and down to Auffach. Stay on the main road towards Mühltal. Turn left before the Mühltal bridge towards Thierbach. Follow the steep winding road uphill. In Thierbach turn left after the church and cycle past the school. The route continues along an approx. 6 km long gravelled track. Shortly after the take the turn-off for Krinjoch MTB 308. Length of trip: 3 h MTB-Route 351.
The MTB-route 308 leads back downhill via the circular route towards the Sieglbichl hut, past the Pechalm onto the Oberer Höhenweg and from there back to Alpbach. Length of trip: approx. 30 minutes.

Parking | The parking at the Alpbach tourist office is short-term parking only. Parking at the entrance to the village at the Spar (walking time 5 - 10 min or by bike approx. 3 - 5 min to the tourist office). |
Equipment | Closed in winter: all mountain bike and bike trails are closed for safety reasons from 1st November - 1st April. These trails are not cleared from snow and many mountain bike trails lead through avalanche-prone areas. Depending on the snow conditions, some routes may be closed longer than 1st April. For details on snow conditions, please contact the local tourist office.
