The Brandenberg Valley in the Alpbachtal region with its wild romantic labyrinth of steep and deep gorges, valleys and densely forested areas is home to a rich biodiversity.
Thanks to the near-natural dynamics of the forest and the remoteness from large settlements the area is home to an above-average amount of butterfly habitats. As far, as is currently known over 800 different butterfly species can be found! Discover for yourself the Brandenberg butterflies, their beauty, lightness and their natural habitat! A guided tour through the fascinating butterfly fauna hot spots is an ideal way to watch these miraculous creatures.
