Start bus stop Kramsach/Achenrain (bus) OR Sonnwendjochbahn car park (car + bike).

From the Sonnwendjochbergbahn car park proceed towards the tennis centre (Länd 68). Next to the tennis hall on the left, you will see a yellow house with a steep roof at the Brandenberg crossroad. The "Troadkasten" (Achenrain 17) is located in this yellow house. Walking time from the car park to the Troadkasten is approx. 10 minutes.

Start bus stop Achenrain - the Troadkastn (Achenrain 17) is on the road to Brandenberg.  At the crossing take the turn to the left. On the left corner, clearly to be seen, is a yellow building which houses the Troadkastn - approx. 2 min walking time (220 m). The Troadkastn is an exhibition venue for international contemporary art - sculptures, objects and installations. If you continue walking towards Brandenberg after the Troadkastn (visit duration approx. 45 minutes), you'll reach a beautiful wooden bridge on the left-hand side, which leads over the Brandenberger River. Up until 1966 wood was drifted down the stream; the Brandenberger Holztrift (timber rafting) was one of the largest in Central Europe. Walking time: approx. 3 min (250 m).

After you have reached the wooden bridge, continue towards Brandenberg. On the left side there is a turnoff towards Mariathal. Follow this road and it will bring you directly to the Mariathal Pilgrimage Basilica. In 2008 the church was elevated to basilica minor. Most impressive is the catholic pilgrimage churchs' baroque architectural style. Walking time: approx. 10 min (800 metres); visit: approx. 20 min

Behind the basilica a path alongside the river through the woods leads to the Sculpture park. After approx. 300 m you will come to a bridge on the left-hand side; continue straight on through the forest until you reach the sculpture park. Large sculptures that resemble strange creatures in the midst of untouched nature inhabit the over 8,000 m² large exhibition area. Walking time: approx. 10 min. (700 m).

Following the sculpture park discovery (visit incl. a possible refreshing dip in the Brandenberg River approx. 1 hour) walk back the short distance to the wooden bridge. Cross the river, turn left and walk to the Sonnwendjochbahn car park. Behind the Gasthof Liftstüberl at the end of the parking lot a path leads into the woods to the fitness mile. Walk past the area and follow the signs for Hilaribergl Kloster (Camillian monastery). In 1689, the Carmelite tertiary Hilarion a Sancto Sebastiano built a small Marian chapel. The pilgrimage church was modified in 1746 and rebuilt in 1910. Walking time: approx. 35 min. (2,1 km)

You can continue along the forest track along the no. 7 hiking trail towards Hagau. The trail leads to the Lustiger Friedhof / Museumsfriedhof Kramsach (Humorous Graveless Cemetery). over 100 wrought iron crosses with amusing inscriptions (in German) to make you smile. No one lies buried in this graveyard, the crosses were errected by collector Hans Guggenberger, a master stonemason and blacksmith. You will also find a series of images depicting the "Danse Macabre" and the "World Peace Cross" made by Gotthilf Fischer. Walking time: approx. 25 min (1.5 km).

You can also take a bus no. 4115 from Kramsach Sonnwendjochbahn to Kramsach Hagau. The cemetery museum is a 2 minute walk from the bus stop

Return:

On foot - either along the same path via the Hilaribergl monastery/fitness mile to the car park at the Sonnwendjochbahn defunct chair lift or walk back along the road from the Humorous Graveless Cemetery towards Kramsach village. Turn left at the roundabout towards the Sonnwendjochbahn.

By bus - the bus stop is a 2-minute walk from the museum - bus stop: Hagau/Kramsach; bus no. 4115 for the Sonnwendjochbahn: (e. g. 15:25 - 15:35 or 17:25 - 17:34) for Alpbach: Hagau/Kramsach - Brixlegg Herrnhausplatz no. 4111 (e. g. 16:27 - 16:31) change into bus no. 4047 Brixlegg/Herrnhausplatz - Alpbach/Böglerhof (e. g. 17:04 - 17:25)
