Postalm from Kramsach
Hike from Kramsach past the power spots "Hilaribergl", "Kaltes Wasserl" and "Herrgottstein" to the Postalm, rewarded with wonderful views.
The hike starts directly at the car park next to the high ropes course and the fitness mile in Kramsach. Take the path leading past the fitness stations through the woods to the Hilaribergl Camillian monastery. You'll reach the first power spot, where you should definitely pause for a moment, after a 20-minute walk. The gate to the monastery is usually open and allows a peek at the sacred place.
Continue along a forest path up to the well-known Kramsach fountain, the "Kaltwasserbründl" (fountain of cold water). You will reach this idyllic place after a further 45 minutes' walk. Take a seat on the bench next to the fountain and refresh yourself with the invigorating water.
After a short break, continue walking for approx. 20 minutes to the "Herrgottstein". The large stone with cross and resting place cannot be overlooked, choose to spend a few moments here or continue the hike.
Turn left at the signpost and walk uphill along the forest track for approx. 150 m to the bridge crossing the Habacher stream. From here it is only 250 m to the Postalm. The Postalm is located on a large plateau with wonderful views.
Walking time to the Postalm: 1 hour 45 minutes.
Return to the Kaltes Wasserl along the same path. From there, the looped hike continues along a path to the valley station of the defunct Sonnwendjochbahn chair lift and back to the car park.
Return to the Kaltes Wasserl along the same path. From there, the circular hike continues along a path to the Sonnwendjochbahn (defunct chairlift) bottom station back to the car park.
NOTE: The Postalm is not managed! You can find food and drinks at the Liftstüberl Kramsach at the car park!
