Roßkogel - Brandenberg
Pleasant tour leading past snow covered Alpine huts to the Rosskogel with spectacular views.
Walking time: approx. 3 h – 800 m elevation gain up to the Rosskogel
Follow the forestry path direction Eilalm. After a gravelled area (car park in the summer months) turn right and crossing fields climb up to the Eilalm. Keep left up to Anderl´s Hütte (closed in winter) and on via the forestry path up to the Labeggalm. Leave the forestry path and follow the signs for "Kreuzein". Upon reaching the Kreuzein Alms take the steep uphill route to the Rosswies and the following gentle climb to the "Rosskogel".
Descent: the same as the ascent – please note: skiing down to the Berghaus Sonnwendjoch is not advisable – potential avalanche danger!
