Winter walking Reither Kogel
The winter hike starts at the mountain station of the Reitherkogelbahn and leads through a snowy forest with panoramic views. The 6 km long route takes about 2 hours and is perfect for families.
Once at the top, you step out into a magical winter wonderland. The well-prepared path leads you through an enchanted forest, where the trees are dusted with what looks like icing sugar and snow crystals glisten in the sun. Enjoy the crisp, fresh alpine air and the tranquility of the mountain.
The trail winds its way without significant elevation gain towards the Reither Kogel. With each step, the world seems to grow a little quieter until you finally reach the beautiful plateau at the foot of the Reither Kogel. There, you are greeted by a breathtaking panoramic view of the surrounding snow-covered mountains. Take a moment to soak in the peaceful beauty of the winter landscape. The winter trail leads you in a loop through a magical forest back to the mountain station.
This route is ideal for families and leisure hikers. With a total length of about 6 kilometers and a walking time of approximately two hours, the hike is pleasant and easy to manage.
A special highlight are the three rest areas that invite you to take a short break:
Wetterkreuz Fürst:After the Fürsten farm, this wonderful resting place is located on the sunny plateau to the left of the path.
Zaubermoor Hütte:Back in the forest, you will find the Zaubermoos to the left. Manni the Mud Monster is hard to miss. A shelter with a vending machine is a popular resting spot.
Aussichtsplattform Juppi:Shortly before returning to the mountain station, you will find the large viewing platform on the left side of the path, offering a magnificent panoramic view of the Inn Valley. Below the platform is a shelter with beautiful wooden steps—you'll feel like you're in an outdoor sauna.
Back in the valley, you can look forward to a cozy retreat. A hot cocoa or a glass of mulled wine in one of the charming inns is the perfect end to this winter fairy tale in Reith im Alpbachtal.
