From the Sonnwendjochbahn (defunct chairlift) bottom station walk past to the right of the ski lift, follow the path up to the top station, a short stretch through a meadow, and then follow the signposts for "Herrgottstein" and "Bayreuther Hütte". The forest track leads past a quarry and after some time merges into a steep uphill trail that leads to the "Herrgottstein" – large boulder with a cross and an ideal spot for a pause. Follow the signs for "Kramsach/Talstation". After approx. 15 min. one reaches "Kaltes Wasserl" – an idyllic spot with several fountains and a bench. Take the forest track leading downhill back to the start.
