Start at the Maria vom Guten Rat chapel in Hygna (Reith im Alpbachtal). For the initial 600 m take the roadside until the turn-off for Kolber and Neader. Continue uphill across meadows passing a larger forest belt in a right-hand bend until you reach the Hechenblaiken farm. Keep slightly to the left, following the trail to the Hechenblaikenalm at 1396 m and the Wildsauhütte (not open in winter!). Take a sharp left, briefly follow a forest path and up through sparse forest to an open area and bear left of the ridge to the highest point, the Loderstein (1,830 m).
You will be rewarded with magnificent views over the Alpbach, Inn and Ziller valleys!
