Oberer Höhenweg
Easy hike from Alpbach to Inneralpbach with a glorious mix of spectacular scenic views
Alpbach, Austria's most beautiful village, is an ideal starting point for many hikes in the Kitzbühel Alps. This easy hike from Alpbach to the end of the valley in Inneralpbach takes you along a mix of paths and trails above the valley and offers beautiful views of the surrounding mountains.
Start in the village centre, walk past the St. Oswald parish church towards the congress centre. Continue along the road to the Zottahof/Roßmoos turnoff. Follow the signs for "Oberer Höhenweg". The Alpengasthof Rossmoos is the first venue where you can stop for something to eat and drink, a little further up the road is the Jausenstation Wurmhof. Both offer fabulous views. The well signed path continues crossing the "Tal" ravine.
Carry on along the road to Inneralpbach passing beautiful farms along the way. Buses leave from the bus stop outside Original Tiroler Wirtshaus Connys.
